Green River Lake

The Corps end of the lake, off one signed left turn 4.5 miles south of Campbellsville: the project office and visitor center, the Dam Area beach, Ramp #1 (the Corps' "Dam Area – Site 1" fee ramp, multi-lane with a dock), a free bank site at the office and an accessible pier. The tailwater ramp is the next left before the KY 55 bridge — a different water.

Three numbers to get right
What you hearWhat the primary sources actually say
"The drawdown is one drop."Two stages. 675.0 to 674.5 from 15 Sep to 14 Oct, then 674.5 to 668.0 from 15 Oct to 1 Dec. Refill 15 Mar to 15 May (USACE Fill and Drawdown).
"Just read the gauge."Read the right parameter. USGS 03305990 offers 62614 (lake elevation, NGVD29 — compares to 675/668) and 00065 (gage height, local datum — does not). Only 120 days stay online.
"Walleye and muskie are statewide."Half right. Walleye is the statewide 14 in and 6. Muskellunge is not: "Must be 40 inches or over", statewide creel; crappie 9-inch minimum.
What coming down actually changes on this road
Ramp #1 is year-round, 24 hours, multi-lane, with a courtesy dock and 51-plus paved parking — the deep-water end, and the launch the 7-foot drawdown to 668 changes least (reasoning: the dam pool is where the water stays). The office bank site and Pier 1 are free. Office daily 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m., "may vary, call ahead".
Fee ramp, Corps day-use pass. The Corps prints a daily fee and an annual pass for its four ramps (Holmes Bend, Smith Ridge, Pikes Ridge, Dam Area); amounts change, none printed here. Swimming: "permitted, except at boat launching sites, designated mooring points and public docks". Record pool 705.2 ft, January 1979; spillway crest 713.
